Dr. Devasia have earned this prestigious designation. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD Fellowship) was created more than 50 years ago to honor those who clearly recognize and embrace the professional obligation to remain current in their knowledge and skills in order to ensure delivery of the highest quality oral health care and to better serve patients. Fellowship in the AGD has evolved today into the most recognizable designation within the dental profession of commitment to continuing education, and it serves as a model by which to measure professional excellence. Only 6% of general dentists hold this designation.

Virginia Dental Association (VDA)
The goal of the nonprofit VDA is to continually improve the quality of dental treatment and education in the state of Virginia. The VDA is affiliated with the ADA and, in fact, members are typically tripartite members of the national ADA, the state VDA and a local dental society. The VDA is vitally interested in the maintenance of ethics and high standards of care within the dental profession. The ADA Principles of Ethics, the dentistry Code of Ethics, and the applicable federal and state criminal statutes govern members’ professional conduct. Dr. Devasia has earned the prestigious fellowship designation.

The Pierre Fauchard Academy is an international dental honor organization that recognizes leaders and future leaders in the profession. Founded in 1936, the PFA has over 7000 Fellows around the world. The honor of fellowship is conferred on those dentists who have demonstrated that they have ‘served’ and/or have great potential for service and leadership. Fellowship is extended to fewer than 3% internationally whom colleagues have recognized as the best. Fellowship is by nomination only.
